Signing legal deeds

To assess whether the Consulate General can assist you to execute an act, you must always contact the competent service in advance at this email address: london.nat@diplobel.fed.be. The service will then provide you with all the relevant information relating to your specific situation.
You cannot book an appointment for signing through our online system. A date for such an appointment will be proposed to you by the competent service as soon as possible.

Appointment for signing a nationality declaration

Attribution of Belgian citizenship to a child under five years old

Your valid Belgian passport or/and your valid Belgian identity card.
Registration form for the child, completed and signed by both parents as well as a recent passport photo of the child.
If you wish and if the child resides in the UK:
- An application form for a passport or Kids-ID card on the name of the child, completed and signed by both parents;
- as well as a prepaid self-addressed special delivery
Your debit/credit card to pay consular fees

Declaration of Belgian nationality

Your valid national passport and/or valid Belgian identity card.
Your debit/credit card to pay consular fees.
If needed any other documents specified by the consular department in a separate email

Your valid Belgian passport or/and your valid Belgian identity card.
If one of the signatories resides in the UK: valid national passport and depending on the national status also a valid residence permit.
Your debit/credit card to pay consular fees.
