Experience Belgian Tech

During the London Tech Week the Ambassador of Belgium, H.E. Rudolf Huygelen, will host an event at his Residence (36 Belgrave Square next to Hyde Park Corner) on the evening of 11 June 2019 (6.30pm) to showcase a selection of Belgian technological innovations by established companies and promising newcomers (hereafter ‘Experience Belgian Tech’).

Belgian household names and start-ups/scale-ups active in various fields (manufacturing, entertainment, transport, and health) will present their innovations to various participants from the private or public sector.

The intent is to promote Belgium as an innovative country and shed light on some of its less recognised aspects. For participants it is not only an opportunity to spend an evening enjoying the Ambassador’s hospitality (Belgian drinks and finger food included!), but also to meet potential partners or find solutions to challenges they are facing.

After some networking upon arrival, a few formal introductory comments, and a brief panel discussion on Belgium’s role in the European tech ecosystem, companies will have the opportunity to demonstrate their technological innovations in the spaces made available to them. The emphasis is on practical demonstrations and informal interactions with the participants.

A solar-powered car parked outside the Residence will provide an introductory glimpse to what 18 other exhibitors are hiding inside: laser cleaning, made to measure glasses, drone traffic monitoring, foldable canoes, strawberry-picking robots and holograms, to mention but a few of the inventions on offer.

This (initial) year’s participating companies listed below will be accommodated in different rooms within the Residence according to their field of expertise.

Registrations to this event are now closed. Thank you for your interest.

Netalux

NetaluxNetalux® is the number 1 service company in laser cleaning, enabling the industry to adopt this human and environmentally friendly technique while eliminating secondary waste and preserving the substrate. Laser cleaning is applicable in a wide diversity of industries, from nuclear decontamination to aerospace and the petrochemical industry.

Netalux® uses pulsed laser technology to treat the surface. The pulse is absorbed by the contaminant and reflected by the substrate. This process allows us to go from solid state to gas instantly, thus expanding the contaminant from its substrate. In some cases, a limited amount of the contaminant may vaporise. All contamination is instantly vacuumed away to reduce the impact of our intervention to a minimum. Our technology does not create any turbulence, nor does it add secondary waste.
