Passport applications

On this page, you will find all information about the Belgian passport application.

Passport applications for children under 6

Children under 6 do not have to apply in person at the Embassy in London.

You should submit a passport application by post instead.

What documents should I send?

  • A passport application form, completed and signed by both parents/legal guardians: DUTCH / FRENCH
  • Two passport photos of your child, with their name written on the back. To ensure the photo is not rejected, check the requirements: NL / FR
  • A prepaid Special Delivery envelope addressed to yourself
  • Your child’s old passport, if they have one
  • Proof of payment, either with a bank statement or a banking app screenshot of the transaction

How do I pay?

A child passport costs £31.50 and is valid for 5 years. Payment is by bank transfer only. You should transfer the money to:

Account name: Embassy of Belgium / Account number: 1079 4033 / Sort code: 40-63-84

Your payment reference should start with ‘PPT’ and include the first initial and surname of the child, for example: PPT J SMITH

Where do I send the passport application?

You should send all the documents requested above to:

Embassy of Belgium (Population)
17 Grosvenor Crescent

The passport will be ready to send 10 working days after we receive the application. You will receive an email once we send the passport.
