You should submit a Kids-ID application by post instead.
Before you can apply for your child's first Kids-ID, their birth must first be registered. You may send a Kids-ID application along with your child's registration, but it will not be processed until the registration is complete.
What documents should I send?
- A Kids-ID application form, completed and signed by both parents/legal guardians
- Two passport photos of your child, with their name written on the back. To ensure the photo is not rejected, check the requirements: NL / FR
- A prepaid Special Delivery envelope addressed to yourself
- A plain envelope with a 1st Class stamp on it, addressed to yourself
- Your child’s old Kids-ID, if they have one
- Proof of payment, either with a bank statement or a banking app screenshot of the transaction
How do I pay?
A Kids-ID costs £9 and is valid for 3 years. Payment is by bank transfer only. You should transfer the money to:
Account name: Embassy of Belgium / Account number: 1079 4033 / Sort code: 40-63-84
Your payment reference should start with ‘ID’ and include the first initial and surname of the child, for example: ID J SMITH
Where do I send the Kids-ID application?
You should send all the documents requested above to:
Embassy of Belgium (Population)
17 Grosvenor Crescent
LONDON
SW1X 7EE
The Kids-ID will be ready 4 to 6 weeks after we receive the application.
‘Hello Parents’ service
If your child is lost and carrying their Kids-ID, any person who finds them can contact their parents on up to seven emergency contact phone numbers via ‘Hello Parents’, assuming that you have activated the service first. The Kids-ID displays their telephone number (+32 78 150350), which can be contacted 24/7.
