Elections 2024

This section contains more information on the federal and European elections that will take place in June 2024.

Update – 15/05/2024

The embassy has started to receive the electoral documents that will be sent to every registered voter in the coming days.

Important warning: The addresses to which the letter will be sent were drawn from the National Register on 1st April. If you have changed your address since then, make sure a system of post forwarding is in place to receive your documents in time.

If you opted to vote in person at the embassy or in Belgium: you will receive your electoral convocation letter at your address. This will contain all the information you need to know about.

In the UK, the elections will take place on 5th June between 1pm and 7pm at 36 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8QB . Don’t forget to bring your convocation letter and a form of photo ID. Only registered voters who have opted to vote in person at the embassy, and people having a procuration to do so, will be allowed entry.

- If you’ve opted to vote by post: you will receive your voting forms and the information on how to fill it properly and send your voting ballots to Belgium.

The documents will be in French, Dutch or German. The embassy will not be able to assist with translating the documents.

Electoral information emails have been sent to all Belgian citizens in the UK that hadn't previously been registered for the elections. It may take some time before you receive a reply.

Thank you very much for your patience.
